Twas the night before my wedding and all through Guam, everyone was stirring including my mom. Hey that rhymes. Probably the only smile to come to my face today that wasn't induced by Nelie. So many last minute things. A list that start out at 3 items to do became 15. And the worst part it seems that no one was really willing to step to help us. Todd and Leah asked, Matt and Joy did as well, though Matt and Joy were jet lagged while Todd and Leah had really planned out their whole day. I wish our bridal party and our families helped more with everything today. Maybe they didn't know what needed to be done, or maybe we didn't tell them what to do. I just know that it's 12:48am on the day of my wedding and Nelie is still working on things. Maybe this is the Filipino way. Now I must say that Rene and Rodney have been helping a ton. I will thank them again and again for all that they have done. My only wish was for people to remember why they came here to Guam. This wasn't a vacation. This was to be with Nelie and I to share OUR day. I'm selfish. I'm rude. I'm inconsiderate. I know that I am these things, but I am only these things for the first time in my life. Because it's mine and Nelie's once in a lifetime day.
Nelie .... Later today I will marry you. I will share your happiness and sorrows. Your hopes and your dreams. Your mistakes and your failures. I will watch you age ( gracefully of course ). I will hold you every morning and whisper 'Good-night my love' into your ear every night. I will father your children and we will provide a home to raise them. I will love you each and every day, though I might not like you :-) I promise to be true to you. I promise to cook for you. I promise to make you laugh. I promise to make you think. I promise to give you cute little kisses. I promise to share my deepest fears. This is because I love you will all my heart, mind and soul
